I’m Feeling Lucky: Google has Changed
| March 22, 2012 | Posted by admin under Google, Internet |
So you’re feeling lucky, punk? Are you? Well bad news for you. The “I’m feeling lucky” button does not work anymore. Go to google.com, and you’ll see the button there. But try typing something, and whoa… where did the button go? Yeah, Google Instant killed it. So officially the I’m-feeling-lucky button is still there, but it doesn’t work.
So what about all the I’m feeling lucky tricks that used to be there? Well they are still there, but you have to click on the first result now to activate them. Here are some most famous I’m-feeling-lucky tricks.
Google Gravity
Go to Google and search for Google Gravity. Now open the first link. It will give you all the results, but under the influence of gravity.
Google Sphere
Search for Google Sphere and click on the first link. Now you will see everything floating around in a spherical pattern. You can carry on searching, but the results will also float around.
Annoying Google
I though annoying orange wasn’t enough so I tried this. Search for annoying Google and click on the first link. It’s a little annoying, but nothing to make you pull your hair out. It just converts your alphabets randomly to upper/lower case letters to annoy you. But the major annoying part is that your queries will return no results.
Epic Google
Epic Google is epic? It keeps increasing in size. You can enter your search criteria, but just like annoying Google, it won’t return any search results. If you ask me, it’s not that epic. I like the classic one better. But since I’m feeling lucky, I’ll look at a few more tricks.
Google Pacman
Now THIS is epic. Search for Google Pacman and click on the first result. Instead of the Google logo, you’ll get the classic Pacman game. When I saw it, I forgot what I was looking for, and ended up playing it for one hour.
Google Pirate
Arrr… All me booty is saved on Google Pirate. It’s an ok trick. The only cool thing about this is that the buttons have Pirate language. Other than that, it’s almost the same.
Google Hacker
Pretty much like Google Pirate, it’s got stuff written in hacker lingo. Instead of Google Search, its Google s3a|rch etc.
Google Mirror
This is something that will catch your attention. Everything is in reverse here. In fact it’s not Google, it’s elgoog! Search for Google Mirror and click on the first link. See for yourself.
You might not be able to use the I’m feeling lucky button anymore, but you can still play with all the tricks meant for that button.
